Fun For Everyone!

Volunteering

Just as community spirit is the heartbeat of our Fair, volunteers are the lifeblood. Without our volunteers the Fair just doesn’t happen.

We currently have a great team who lead our preparations but, as the Fair has grown over the years, unfortunately our team has become too small and we are always seeking to recruit extra help.

You don’t need any special skills to volunteer – all you need is a willingness to give as little or as much of your time and efforts for the benefit of your community.

Why volunteer?

  • Connect with others and make new friends.
  • Challenge yourself and learn new skills.
  • Become a role model for your kids (the kids love being part of the ‘team’ as well).
  • Belong to a wonderful community.
  • Give back to a community that has provided so much.
  • Experience the amazing sense-of-achievement and comradery that comes with being part of, and preparing for, an event of this size.
  • Make a difference.

Volunteer activities may include; helping to manage a stall, coordinating equipment and logistics, marketing and publicity, sponsorship, communications, and more.

Where possible we aim to create small teams to work together and share activities. You might choose to volunteer as an individual and we will match your available time with an activity and team or, you might prefer to volunteer with a group of friends and create your own team.

If you would like to know more, feel free to contact us here, or speak with the school or parish office, or contact your class/year coordinator.

Don’t have much time to offer?

We understand life gets busy and the pressures of work and family commitments don’t allow for much spare time.

If you don’t have much time to offer but, you would still really like to help – why not help out on the weekend of the Fair?

For weekend volunteers we will activate an online registration system in September.
